Fabulous village bakery, every day they bake the best fresh bread for miles around & their ham salad sandwiches are legendary. Lovely friendly ladies work in the shop. We are so lucky in our village to have The Cottage Bakery & I highly recommend.

Friendly staff and stocked for many food requirements, milk, butter, groceries etc (even firelighters) I called on 13/1/23 and bought 1 small white loaf, 6 fruit tea cakes, 4 brown rolls, a Christmas Mincemeat Crumble and 2 fresh cream fruit buns, sharing them with BF and my hubby was a delight.
The price was quite a bit less than I thought it would be = BONUS!!
Definitely making it a regular stop when I have time, visiting my friend in Silkstone Common.
If you want quality bakes ... go there !!!Just had a beautiful afternoon tea made up for my Mother-in-laws 90th birthday. Fresh sandwiches, pork pie, quiche and lots of lovely cakes and scones. Ordered last week and collected Saturday morning. Enjoyed by all. Thank you.
stayed at an airbnb across the road and the cottage bakery was recommended to us. We enjoyed great coffee and fresh croissants then bought a loaf of the most amazing multiseed bread. Lovely little bakery, awesome staff, great feeling of friendship by all that came in while we were there. Great place, hope to visit again
Great village bakery and general store. Nice selection of fresh made bread and pastries. Also sells some fresh fruit and veg and other daily essentials such as milk and some tinned goods. My favorite's are the multi grain loaf, Cornish pasty and caramel shortbread.
This bakery is fab. When my grandchildren stay over, I have to get them bread for toast!!

Covid freindly clean really good food pleasant staff a car park to the rear. All fresh food served. the only thing is that the menu is displayed at the far side of the shop it would save time if I could look and decide before going to a till, of which they have lots of and are quick to serve.well organised and clean good food.
I like to go to Cottage Bakery as the tea cakes are just tasty, they have a good selection of buns and also do hot sandwiches and it is busy most of the time, but it is worth the wait and the staff are friendly

Lovely small bakery, family run, sells cakes, pastries, pies and loaves all handmade and baked by themselves, plus a general store with tinned goods, cereals and some toiletries and household products. Has won many craft bakers association awards too
